Gastroesophageal reflux disease or Gerd, can cause burning chest pain and discomfort for those afflicted by the disease. The main cause is due to stomach acid flowing into the food pipe and irritating the lining. Gerd, also known as Acid Reflux, is a very common issue and affects almost 20% of people in the US at varying degrees. If you experience frequent heartburn after eating, you may be suffering from Gerd and should consult your physician for a diagnosis.
If you have been diagnosed with Gerd, or Acid Reflux and suffer from irritating heartburn, you may qualify for our new study.
To qualify for this study you must:
- Be 19 years of age or older.
- Main symptom of Gerd is heartburn.
- Have a history of heartburn for at least 6 months.
Compensation for your time and travel will be awarded upon enrollment.
